FROM PLANT TO BOTTLE – BIOLOGI SKINCARE

14 Sep FROM PLANT TO BOTTLE – BIOLOGI SKINCARE

If you follow me on instagram you would have seen my many, many Vietnam travel photos over the last few weeks. All of the food. All of the cocktails. All of the beach days. And all of the general indulgence that comes with being on holidays. As much as I LOVE travelling, it does tend to take a toll on my skin. So I was thrilled to be invited to try the new range of plant serums by Biologi – with no additives, fragrances, preservatives or water/dilution that comes with so many skin care products, I was especially keen to give these serums a go, with the hopes that they would breathe some much needed freshness and life into my skin.

But firstly, can we please take a minute to appreciate the packaging? Because these sleek, matte bottles of magic would look beautiful on any bathroom shelf. As a bit of an aesthetic snob, these bottles get a big tick from me.

Secondly, these serums prove that sometimes you can judge a book by its cover, because seriously, I’ve been using them for over a week now, and I’m loving the way my skin feels. Not only are they 100% plant serum (see above re: no additives etc!), but they feel so luxurious, don’t leave you feeling greasy, and have left my skin feeling so much more refreshed and hydrated. It’s still early days, but I’m thinking i’ll keep these serums around, if the last week has been anything to go by!

And now, a quick run down of each product…

BD – FACE SERUM

I’m super careful about anything I put on my face. I tend to react to a lot of products, and having struggled with acne in my early 20’s I don’t easily trust a lot of ‘skin care’. So honestly I approached this one with caution. But I’ve found it has been really gentle on my skin, whilst still providing the refreshment and repair it promises. I’ve been applying every 2nd night so far, and i’ve seen it help with my post-holiday blemishes, hydration, and the general luminosity of my skin, which was much needed after so much time in the sun overseas. Win.

BK – EYE SERUM

This serum promised to decrease sun damage, so naturally I was like, ok I should probably bathe in it. Having not used an eye serum or cream before, I went a little easy on this to start with too. But with the nothing but positive results i’m seeing it will likely become a regular in my routine. Fine lines from sun squinting be gone!

BF – BODY SERUM

Confession: I may have gotten sunburnt a couple of times while I was away. I know its stupid, and I am usually pretty careful, but I also feel like I can’t bounce back the way I used to 10 years ago (yes I am aware how old I sound right now). So lathering this serum specifically on my décolletage area daily has helped me feel like i’m repairing even a little bit of that damage. I also may have accidentally tasted it. And it tasted good. I’m not going to make it a habit of licking my hand after applying it, but look, it smelled great and I was curious. Hopefully injesting the serum isn’t not going to be an issue. I’m choosing not to google that.

IN SUMMARY

Organic. Vegan. Cruelty Free. Yes, yes, and yes. These serums have more than a few ticks from me so far, so if you’re interested in trying them for yourself, you can shop the products HERE.

I would love to know if you’ve tried these as well – what did you think? Have they helped your skin? Did you lick your arm as well? Let me know!
